Dublin Airport | Radio & Social Campaign
I tapped into my Irish heritage, composing a 30” piece of funky dance music for Dublin Authority Airport, in collaboration with the imitable agency MassiveMusic.
The premise of the brief was to be fun, and catchy. To make a usually dreary process - going through airport security - into an uplifting and memorable experience.
In my opinion, the best way to make a song sound fun, is to have fun in the process. Which is exactly what I did - writing the vocal top-line in a (questionable) Irish accent (which was then replaced for authenticity… can’t say I didn’t try!) - and dancing around my studio as I added claps and percussion to the groove. After all, if I’m not vibing, the audience won’t!
I dipped into modern references to craft a fresh-sounding production which would stand out on social and radio, and align with their contemporary, youthful visuals.
And here we have it! You certainly won’t forget how to get through airport security smoothly again…
